3D Blockchain project provides a creative insight to the blockchain exchange system exploring alternative ways for turning this hidden process visible and tangible. As part of understanding this decentralising network system we produce 3D objects, which are considered as reinterpretations of value relationships over time. This type of data physicalisation is looking at solidifying exchange information for acquiring an overview of the complexity behind this technology. Intangible data are transformed into physical objects through a hands-on process of model making. Values of exchanges and select trading relationships are interpreted into parameters of 3D printed objects, exploring in this way transitions from digital to physical and vice versa. Considering materials as metaphors for objectifying the system of blockchain is an opportunity to embed the technology to spatial design and investigate its sociocultural impact.
